Body by Svec + Raygun Part 3 and a giveaway!

Hello all, happy Thursday! I would like to share with you this cool event that happened here locally in Des Moines. I'm really sad I wasn't able to make it, but I've talked about this collaboration between Body by Svec and Raygun on the blog before here and here, but this is the final post! Although I was not able to attend the event, I did manage to buy some prints, and I bought a few extra to share with you all! Check out the giveaway below! Brand new accessories

I have been waiting so long for this floppy hat to come in the mail from Yokoo. Of course sometimes I can't see where I'm going, but it's just the most adorable thing ever. I wanted it ever since I laid my eyes on it a little while after I watched Breakfast at Tiffany's. I loved Audrey Hepburn's character's gorgeous hats. Also, I was so happy to get these hoop earrings from Anjolee, aren't they just amazing? They are my absolute favorite right now, and I've been wearing them constantly with everything! I had these Diamond hoops also set with garnets since that's my birthstone (I'm a January baby). I think they are absolutely beautiful, and I'm so glad I have pretty little Diamond earrings to class up any outfit!

Tea Party Dress

This tea party dress from Francesca's Collections is seriously so adorable, and might possibly be one of my new favorite dresses. Mostly, because it's slimming and it reminds me of one of my childhood dress that my mom made for me. Also, I love the painterly style of the flowers. I'm a little bit overwhelmed with my life right now, but I'm really happy, I don't really have much exciting news, except that the weather is continuing to get better! Yay. Oh, and how perfect is this lip color with this dress!? It was actauly quite a nice surprise to find that my lip color and dressed matched so perfectly. I don't usually match my makeup to my outfits, intentionally, but hey, it works!

Student Juried Exhibition

Yes, my 'Fairy Tales' installation has made it into an exhibition at the Anderson Gallery at Drake University, well half of it! The 'Snow White' half from the book down along the righthand side. At first it bothered me, but I have then accepted it and I'm absolutely thrilled! The reception in from 1-3 this Sunday!

Snake queen

what i wore: snakeskin print dress from Midwest Vintage, green hat and knuckle ring from Forever 21, knee high gray socks and black tights from Target, black thin sash found, Jenette boots c/o Blowfish Shoes, and taupe cardigan from H&M

So, I remember finding this crazy but awesome gem of a dress in a bin while attending a Midwest Vintage porch sale. I absolutely loved it. I never thought I would wear it, but finally got up the nerve to do so. It's interesting though. I never thought I would like or even wear a snake print dress, but here I am. The collar and the faux hood are just so fascinating to me. I also like the implication of texture, but the fabric is just so smooth. Oh, and did you notice that I folded these knee high boots a little bit? I love how versatile these boots are. I tried to change up my makeup a little bit as well, going with a more neutral lip (using MAC Cosmetics' kissable lipcolour in So Vain) and smokey eyes. I like it. It will be happening more often!

Anyways, I recently and finally watched Bill Cunningham New York on Netflix, and I absolutely adore it and would recommend it to everyone. The documentary makes me want to be a little more daring with my outfit choices and also I want to go to New York. Can you believe I've never been!? I'm sure I would love it there.
