Fifteen Favorites on Friday v16

1. Love this D.I.Y. Industrial Record Cabinet from Elsie of A Beautiful Mess. Her posts have been so on point lately!

2. I adore Mandi of Here's Looking At Me Kid's outfit in these photos! It is so perfectly on point in welcoming Fall.

3. This Iconatomy series by George Chamoun I found via the We Are Handsome Blog is absolutely incredible. I love the juxtaposition of two iconic celebrities from different eras in these amazing collages.

4. I really really want a vintage coat, and I love this one that Elsa Billgren is sporting in these photos! I love that beautiful light gray and that fur trim!

5. These printed silk scarves from Reborn I found via Design Love Fest are so fantastic!

6. How gorgeous is Karla of Karla's Closet's dress and Louboutins in these photos!?

7. I've been lusting for this coat ever since I saw it a couple years ago, and it's still floating around! I'm so tempted to buy it, especially when I saw it on Islabell of A Fine Day For Sailing and saw Veronika of Girl and Closet tweeting about it! I think it's a sign that I needed it, so I caved and bought it from Lulus.

8. How amazing do Elsie of A Beautiful Mess and her husband look!? They are just so adorable.

9. I had to add these photos from the Charlotte Taylor SS12 lookbook I discovered via Islabell of A Fine Day for Sailing! The prints, peterpan collars, and silhouettes are just wonderful!

10. Check out these amazing Mr. Yen Papercuts I discovered via Design Sponge, aren't they beautiful!? The one on the right reads, "Today is Your Day, Your Mountain is Waiting, So Get on Your Way". A quote by Doctor Suess.

11. I love the wonderful print on this dress Veronika of Girl & Closet is wearing in these photos! Oh, and how wonderful is her hat?

12. Love this adorable strawberry nails tutorial from Kaylah of The Dainty Squid!

13. I just adore Alix of The Cherry Blossom Girl's coat and boots in these photos!

14. Loving these wonderfully clashing prints on Rachel of That's Chic in these photos.

15. I cannot get enough of Kani of Kani is For Kani's outfits! I mean, just look at that asymmetrical floral skirt, those heels, that necklace and that top! Everything is so cute.

This last Saturday, I got to attend a photoshoot for the Rock N Reconstruct Fall line. I was invited by Sarah (who also co-owns Midwest Vintage). It was such an amazing experience! The photographer was Fels Andermathes who is absolutely amazing. She also did the makeup. Hair was done by Thomas Stoops who did an amazing job as well! The model is Selma, a friend who recently just started her own blog that you should check out, called Being Selma. The jewelry was borrowed from Leona Ruby.

Be sure to check back for another post including the entirety of the Rock N Reconstruct Fall line. You won't be disappointed! It is quite amazing.

Hope you have a wonderful Thursday and that you enjoyed this little sneak peek!

Hot pink, floral and butterflies

92111-7
what i wore: vintage butterfly and floral top, brown wide leg pants, and hot pink sleeveless button up top thrifted, cat-eye sunnies from OC Shades, knuckle ring from Forever 21 and Vance booties c/o Blowfish Shoes

92111-5

92111-6

The three main pieces of my outfit were thrifted besides the Vance booties I received courtesy of Blowfish Shoes, my cat-eye sunnies and the ring. I am pretty sure this vintage blouse is suppose to be worn buttoned up and tied with a bow, but I decided to make it a little more casual and I like the way it drapes over my hot pink top to tone it down a little bit. I went out of my comfort zone on this day, because I don't usually wear wide legged pants and these are a little long but I loved how they fit and of course my legs look super long (which is something I love). I have some awesome posts and such planned for the near future, so keep checking back!

Also, I really need to make more of an effort to take some close-up and detail shots!

Hope you have a wonderful Sunday!

My name is Selma. I'm 18 years old, and a student. I'm completely undecided in what i want to do with my life, so i'm just muddling my way through college right now. It's not very much fun and i don't recommend it to anyone. I'm hoping i find something i'm passionate about, and would want to make a career out of, before i run out of money haha. I think i'm absolutely hilarious, but it's okay if you don't. I created this blog so i could have a place to talk about my day-to-day life (as unexciting as that is), post about my various modeling gigs, inspire people to dress like me via fashion posts, and just whatever else floats my boat.

We think personal style is just another form of self-expression...and we make shoes for creative girls who can put together a look with effortless originality. Blowfish takes a break from the ordinary and a cue from the past. There's something unexpected in every shoe we create, just as there's something unexpected about every girl who wears them.

DeMoivre's theorem links the imaginary number to trigonometric functions. Sounds pretty boring, but the imaginary "eye" and the complexity of style, health, and beauty makes shopping at deMoivre's store an easy formula to comprehend. Live fabulously, breathe easy, and get your hands on rare, discontinued skincare and perfumes; accessorize through the world of high fashion with hard to find petite goodies. Shop now!

I'm an Iowa girl living in Southwest Florida by the Gulf Coast. I've always had a passion for vintage clothes since my style is a bit eclectic and vintage is a great way to have an original looking wardrobe without braking the bank. I make hand crafted goodies over at sewZinski.etsy.com, and sometimes I would incorporate vintage finds into my work. I decided to open MsZinski.etsy.com as a way to further my passion of reVamping vintage, and a way to share thrifting finds with others.

I'm Brinny, and I'm a girly-girl with an occasional edge. I absolutely adore the soft, pretty, and feminine, but my status as a reformed alternative brat means that some relics, like my blue hair, are here to stay. I love bold lips and clashing colors, high heels and a vintage silhouette.

Hello lovelies! My name is Danielle and I blog over at Tongue Tied in Awe. I am honored to be spending some time with you today! Meanz is such a sweet and inspiring girl. I love her outfit posts, don't you? So I am here today to show you what I love most about Fall - fashion wise that is.

Where I go to school, Fall is unbearably cold. You definitely have to bundle up which means it's a great time to pull out those cozy sweaters, thick socks, and big jackets. Truthfully, I am a Summer girl at heart, but Fall is a close second, giving the option of layering and mismatching clothes to your hearts desire.

Fall needs to get here fast, don't you agree? I simply cannot wait any longer!

As a thanks to Meanz and her awesome readers, I want to offer a free ad on my blog for the month of October. Thanks again to Meanz for having me. Don't forget to stop by my blog and say hello - I'd love to meet you! xo, Danielle
