I wore this to accompany Joelle on her photoshoot featuring the lovely , Selma. It was a lot of fun! We went to this abandoned area with silos, sheds, a house, and more. It was an incredible location, but to be honest, it was a little eery.

It was absolutely gorgeous this day, and I loved not having to wear a coat. I found these amazing shorts at Goodwill. I guess I'm lucky because I found out this is where Fossil donates their clothes. Pretty awesome! I also got them in a lighter blue, similar to the color of my shirt. Anyways, I hope I can come back to take pictures in this location sometime!

Be sure to check back for the finalized photos that Joelle took! I can't wait to see them myself!

Do you have any weird locations you like to take pictures at?

Recently, I got the chance to shoot some behind-the-scenes photos of Joelle in action, as she was photographing Selma. It was an amazing experience. I love seeing a creative person in action! This was an amazing shoot and I cannot wait to see and share the finalized photos as well as a more in depth interview with Joelle about her photography.

We went to this abandoned area full of abandoned sheds, a house, some silos and more. There was also an incredible willow tree and a vast field. It was absolutely gorgeous, while being pretty creepy at the same time! Oh and check back tomorrow to see what I wore on this photoshoot.

Joelle goes by Figment Art Photo, and you can view her website here and her blog here.

Also, you can check out another photoshoot that Joelle did with Selma on Selma's blog here.

We think personal style is just another form of self-expression, and we make shoes for creative girls who can put together a look with effortless originality. Blowfish takes a break from the ordinary and a cue from the past. There’s something unexpected in every shoe we create, just as there’s something unexpected about every girl who wears them.

Getting Into The Spirit

Edited by Taylor Davies

Thanksgiving is now officially behind us, so it's time to start looking ahead to the coming holidays and all the fan-fair that comes along with them. From Black Friday shopping to holiday parties to festive DIY projects, there's a lot of inspiration in this week's Links a la Mode selections.
Along with all this inspiration, a few of our bloggers tackled some tough issues, from finding the balance between sexy and frumpy dressing in the workplace, vanity sizing, recession dressing and improving your blog posts. I thought these were important and critical to include for this week's round up, because even as the holiday season gets into full swing, and we're overcome with twinkling lights, festive parties and sequins galore - the same problems and difficulties we face the rest of the year will be here.

I got to do a little preview and behind the scenes post on Rock N Reconstruct's Holiday collection! Also I bought these skeleton gloves for less than $2.00!

I ate some delicious authentic Chinese food cooked by my mom. I love wonton noodle soup with Chinese greens and these taro root rice cakes with a soy sauce, vinegar and sriracha mix for dipping.

I got to work the letterpress for the first time, and screwed it up, buy put the word visual the wrong way, but oh well! I still love it. The one on the right is a print my friend Weston made on the letterpress.

I found some lovely chambray Fossil shorts at the thrift store and I started a wire drawing, I'm really excited about introducing wire to my project. I really love working with it.

I got to hang out with my lovely friend Brooke, and spent a lot of time with my family, especially on Thanksgiving, and ate lots of yummy food all day long.

I got to meet Selma's adorable kitten Chico, and fell in love with her instantly! I mean, look at that face! Also, I got to shoot some behind-the-scenes photos of Joelle (of Figment Art Photo) doing a photoshoot with Selma.

I braved Black Friday at the mall with Selma. Here are the photos I snapped with my phone. I also managed to lose my phone at Gap at one point, but someone amazing turned it in to the cash register. I am so thankful for that.

I fell in love with this snake ring, and I'm a little sad I didn't buy it, but it was a little awkward to wear. Then after braving Black Friday I settled down with some awesome tea my mom gave me earlier!

How was your week!? Tell me about it.
