wck1ta on Make A Gif, Animated Gifs

Hello all! Today it has been so nice outside! I'm really enjoying the weather. My boyfriend and I started out by going to Panera for lunch, I always get the U Pick 2 with the Mediterranean Veggie sandwich, a baguette, broccoli cheddar soup (my favorite!) and a diet Pepsi! It's always difficult for me to resist peering at all the yummy pastries, but today was different! I resisted the urge! Anyways I decided to go for a comfortable, casual look today since we were going to be walking around in the woods a lot. We went to Ewing Park and met up with one of his buddies and we were off. They played 18 holes, while I tagged along and took some lovely pictures (I will post them at a later time).

I snapped some adorable pictures of David, and I even got some action shots! This was a great way for me to work on taking better photos! And I made a little gif of him running up a hill, haha. I just think it's adorable.

Also, Kaylah of The Dainty Squid mentioned me in her April Review post under "new blogs I found & enjoyed" and I just wanted to say how honored I am. Kaylah's blog is so quirky, eclectic and colorful. The first time I laid eyes on it, I knew it would easily become one of my favorites.

How has your weekend been?

My leopard print maxi

what i wore: taupe leopard print maxi from Target, black ruffle cardigan from Express, black Garren t-strap heels from Blowfish.

The weather is suppose to reach 70˚F today! I'm so excited about it, so I whipped out this leopard print maxi dress I have been saving for better weather and these Garren heels that I bought from Blowfish. They are so comfortable, I love them. I would highly recommend them to anyone! You can get your own pair here. Anyways, I'm glad I am branding out and embracing leopard print finally. I love this dress and the taupe color of it.  Oh, and as you can see, my self-timer remote made its way into one of my pictures. Oops! Sorry about that.

I'm having a pretty good day today, got out of class early, relaxing at home and probably going to go on a walk with Bella of course! I've been really craving everything bagels lately... I might go and pick some up today as well!

Also, yes I have a tattoo on my back you can check out my about me here to see the whole thing :)

Is there any specific food that you've been craving?!

Checkered pink

what i wore: pink checkered American Eagle button up thrifted, Where the Wild Things Are t-shirt from Urban Outfitters, gray sweater from H&M, black belt from Forever 21, boyfriend jeans from Old Navy, black lace-up Dolce Vita boots from Target, and Vicki Classic Half Frame Wayfarers from OC Shades

Hello! Thank you for your input on my header and my friend's, it means a lot! Anyways, Today was a great day besides getting lost in a cemetery this morning that we had to go to for Drawing class. One entrance, and a huge cemetery and me driving does not mix! Anyways it was a nice walk going around and pulling inspiration from everything. The sunshine and blue skies were amazing. It's been a while. I'm watching The Office right now, and it's so sad, and I loved it!

Did you watch Steve Carell's last episode? What did you think?

A new header for Sarah!

Hi all! I just created this new header today for my friend Sarah's blog, which you can view here. Of course, I also made one for myself last night, as you can see. I was wondering what you all thought these headers?

Would anyone be interested in commissioning me for a new header? If you are at all interested, send me an email and maybe we can work something out!

PS: I also realized how much I missed Illustrator! I need to use it more often.

Denim and Dots

what i wore: black and white polka dot dress thrifted, denim button up top from Target, white slip from my mom, black lace-up fringe Who We See rodeo boots from Urban Outfitters

Today, I decided to go for a grunge-esque look you could say. Mid length dress, black fringe booties and a denim top. I am in love with this denim top at the moment. I could not wait to wear it again, so here it is, two days later.

Anyways, I thrifted this dress at Goodwill. I think it's an adorable, and versatile piece, one that I'm going to keep for a long time! Which brings me to my next idea, which is, I want to start selling some of my clothes and weeding out my closet. Any suggestions of the best way to go about it? I was thinking of using Smashion, ebay, or making a blog store.

I also just made this new header last night! What do you think of it?

Lady in the wind

what i wore: black and white polka dot socks from H&M, light tan-brown skirt from Urbanog, black Blowfish wedges from DSW, brown fair isle cardigan from Target and black and white bow top from Dillard's

Once again, today was rainy, windy, and pretty cold, but did I let that stop me from wearing my new skirt? Nope! I was going to wear tights underneath so I could be warmer, but nothing looked quite right, so I just went with the socks, which helped a bit! So I went for a cute and girly look today. I felt like I didn't belong in the rain, but honestly, I didn't mind it, I got to use my cute fish umbrella, which is my favorite umbrella and I don't even mind carrying it around anymore!

Do you have a favorite umbrella?

All I do is try to make it simple

what i wore: olive pants and denim shirt from Target, black Who We See fringe Rodeo boots from Urban Outfitters, and black faux leather jacket from H&M

Keeping it super casual today! It was a little duller and chillier than I expected, so the outfit I was going to wear did not work out. I'm usually not very into denim tops, but I wanted to give it a shot. When I tried on this top, I paired it with dark golden tan paper bagish shorts that I tucked this shirt into and these new favorite black boots of mine of course! I ended up buying the shorts as well, and I was planning on wearing the whole outfit with a high bun and wedges!= or just black flats, but alas, the weather would not allow it! So, that will happen another day!

I apologize for the lack of posting on the weekends, I usually like to relax and try to steer clear of my blog sometimes. It gets a little overwhelming! I hope you all had a good weekend though! I, of course, spent the majority of mine inside my fort that I built in my living room, haha, and a little time outside on Sunday, because my parents decided to have a barbecue, and that was pretty fun and delicious! Sorry, I didn't snap any pictures, I was too busy munching on skewers with chicken, zucchini, and pineapple!

How would you wear a denim button-up top?

DIY Indoor fort

I spent all day in this "fort" I decided to "build" out of bedsheets, push pins, and safety pins! I am probably going to leave it up for as long as it lasts. The inside is just a bunch of blankets and pillows, my couch, the television, and a couple of chairs. I really like it, and I feel like a bear in a cave. It's awesome. I apologize for the horrible quality of the photo, I took it with my phone!

What would you put inside your fort?

Serenity at Sea

what i wore: Serenity at Sea tunic from Modcloth, We Who See fringe rodeo black heel boot from Urban Outfitters, and black leggings from Target

Hello readers! First off, I'd like to extend to you all a Happy Earth Day! I knew the moment I received this Serenity at Sea tunic from Modcloth, I would want to wear it for Earth Day, so I saved it just for today! I love the mix of blues and greens and also that it is long enough to be a dress on me. I cannot wait to wear this tunic/dress again when it gets warmer out with shorts and my whiskey colored Seychelles Hawk wedges!

Also, if you like the boots I am wearing today, I just bought them online at Urban Outfitters and they are only $29.99 right now, what a great deal right? They are so adorable and I love he fringe detailing. It took me a while to get them on at first, but once I got them on I fell in love. They are comfortable and very versatile. I cannot wait to wear them more! You can snag yourself a pair here.

Did you dress up for Earth Day?

Cardboard daisies

what i wore: indigo ruffle cardigan and light tan knee high boots from Target, True Religion jeans from Neiman Marcus Outlet, black and white striped top from Forever 21, and chestnut belt

Hi everyone! I just wanted to show you all how big my Daisy bottle is! Also, I just brought it in from the garage. I'm not sure about where to put it yet, and I'm excited to try and figure out the best way to paint it! I'm looking it up right after I post this! Anyways, I decided to go for a more casual look today, in Drawing class, we went on a sort of field trip to a pedestrian bridge to sketch and take photos for inspiration for our final drawing. I snapped so many pictures of squirrels, mushrooms, parts of houses, and this adorable kitty we came across! I'm so glad it's Thursday and that I have one more class tomorrow, and I'm good for the weekend! I am so tired. Oh yeah, and my Drawing professor made me some peanut butter cookies along with a couple of my other classmates, because on Tuesday we drew on huge sheets of paper with thick charcoal. It was so much fun and the cookies were delicious! I wish I had some more.

How did you spend your day?

Acoustic Ballad

what i wore: Acoustic Ballad dress from Modcloth, beige tank top from Wet Seal, wine colored Hue leggings from Dillard's and Minnetonka lace-up booties from Shopbop

Hello, sorry for the absence. I feel like I haven't blogged for days and it's only been one day! I had a full day of drawing yesterday! I can't wait to show you what I'm working on later.

I love this Acoustic Ballad crochet dress from Modcloth. Well it's more of a tunic, it's a little short to be a dress, but I cannot wait to remix it and layer it over a dark olive ruffle strapless dress, belted with wedges! I liked my look today, I felt as though I should have been frolicking through the flowers! The weather wasn't agreeing with me. Once again, mostly cloudy, but peeks of Sun here and there and I captured that light in my photos!

I'm really starting to like these short bangs and how my hair looks in soft waves! I might try to keep up with it.

The name of my dress acoustic ballad reminds me of Dashboard Confessional and makes me feel very nostalgic. The one time I saw Dashboard Confessional, they played a lot of songs from their older CDs, i.e. The Places You Have Come to Fear the Most, A Mark, A Mission, A Brand A Scar and it was a completely acoustic set. They played with New Found Glory who also did an amazing acoustic set. Anyways, it was a great show!

So if I had to choose my favorite acoustic ballad by Dashboard would be "Screaming Infidelities", some powerful stuff back then!

What's your favorite acoustic ballad?

Idyllic Waters

what i wore: Idyllic Waters dress from Modcloth, yellow wedges and light gray tights from Target, leopard print cardigan from Delia's, gray sweater belt from a thrifted sweater

I'm so tired today. I think it's because I spent a majority of my day doing a lot more tasks ten I am used to, and also that I do not have much to do today, so it is a little weird. Mondays are usually pretty hectic for me, but I did most of my homework yesterday and all I have to do is read and do a couple of drawings.

Anyways, I just purchased this Idyllic Waters dress from Modcloth along with a few other goodies, and I'm in love it it. I love the light colors. I also wore braids for over 12 hours to get my hair this wavy. It was totally worth it though! Today was definitely a colder day, and usually I would not mind, but I've been having small hints of a cold, and I just don't want it to get worse! I haven't been sick for a while, and I don't want to get sick now!

My bangs are also, incredibly ridiculous. I cut them a little too short, and they look weird. I'm pretty sure this means that I'm going to grow them out... maybe!

What you think I should do? Grow out my bangs or keep trimming them? Also, if you have had bangs, do you have any trimming tips?

Value and light study on a Sunday morning

Sorry for the lack of outfits posts this weekend, I didn't really go anywhere, I had homework and some tasks I wanted to get done. So today I was working on my value/light study assignment for my drawing class. Basically, you pick and item, a fairly simple one, and put it somewhere that catches sunlight, such as by a window and do a 30-45 minute drawing for every hour from 7AM - 7PM. I woke up at 7AM, brewed some Awake tea and got to work. It was funner than I expected. I chose an apple, if you couldn't tell! Anyways, I did one every hour from 7AM - 1PM and I just have to spread the rest out in the next couple of days. It's not due until Thursday.

Oh, and these are pictures of some of the drawings I did this morning/afternoon and my new drawing table from Utrecht and dress form. I just bought this little natural light clamp lamp for the draw table too and it is amazing! I put the drawing table together myself! I forgot how much I loved putting things together and how amazing it feels when you're done! I'm definitely thrilled that I got the dual table top, the flat surface is really nice, and I love the shelves! I also fixed this lovely floral chair that my mom and I bought at a garage sale for $3.00! The screws fell out, and it turns out that there was only one screw holding it up, when there should be three. I drilled the holes and drove the screws in!

Anyways, after the drawings, I spent a little time reading and then started to clean, first, I picked up my room, then moved to the bathroom, the kichenette, and finally the living room. It only took a few hours and about 5 trash bags! Sometimes, I just get in this cleaning mode, I'm not sure why, but it feels amazing when everything is clean!

What was the last thing you put together or fixed?

Owl tea/drink set

I just wanted to show off this adorable antique owl tea/drink set (I'm not sure what to call it) I bought at Calypso! Aren't they all so adorable! I love this set. I'm very happy with this purchase!

What do you think? Do you like this set?

Rain, cold and fishies

what i wore: tiger dress from H&M, black cardigan from Delia's, black leggings and black lace-up Dolce Vita boots from Target and goldfish umbrella from Amazon

Hello lovelies! Today, the weather decided to revert back to cold. It was actually suppose to snow today, but not yet! I'm not really upset about it, a plus being, I finally got to use my goldfish clear umbrella today! The Clothes Horse gave me the inspiration to buy one! I had to have it, I think she bought hers on Modcloth, but I found it on Amazon. Anyways, I decided to wear dark clothing today, but I had to wear this dress, I love the print on it, it's a very asymmetrical print and I love the tiger on it, it's definitely Asian inspired.

I've been feeling a little under the weather lately. I have not gotten sick for a while so I'm just not used to it. I need to get better though! I have a lot to do this weekend, especially for drawing!

How will you spend your weekend?!
